Objectives

 

The scholar must use the art of choreography

to explore different academic skills.

 

The scholar is encouraged to express him / herself through movement, both structured and creative.

 

The scholar must look at dance as an art form and

begin developing an appreciation for different dance forms.

 

The scholar is allowed to experience the joy of dance.

 

The scholar is introduced to dance based movement activities that they have not had the opportunity to explore such as Waltz,

Line Dance, Tap, Classical Jazz, Theatrical Jazz, etc. 

 

The scholars whom have an interest in dance are encouraged to

continue to pursue opportunities which will enhance

their personal development and appreciation of the art form.
